Global Ransomware Attacks

Recently a ransomware was released on the world, this ransomware which demands about NZD $430 in bitcoin currency has been reported in 74 countries including New Zealand. The virus (WannaCry) has so seriously affected the computers in the UK that the hospitals have been forced to cancel appointments and turn away surgeries.
I am very sad and worried about this ransomware, I hope that it doesn't affect New Zealand too badly and I am very sad for all the countries that have been affected.

Plastic Eating Caterpillar could eat through waste

Researchers at Cambridge university made a discovery that the larvae of the honey comb moth which can chew through honey comb in bee hives can also degrade and eat plastic. Research shows that the larvae can break down the chemical bonds of plastic in a similar way to honeycomb. Generally it takes hundreds of years for plastic polythene to break down, these caterpillars can make a hole in a plastic bag in under an hour.
